So what is Dream of the Echoes?
The mission of the Dream of the Echoes series is to pass on to the next generation some of the most inspirational Notre Dame football stories in an intimate, clever and creative storytelling environment for both parent and child. The books are ideally designed for children ages 2-7, although many customers outside that age group are enjoying the series. The illustrations are captivating and allow parents to teach children traditions that go beyond what is delivered in the rhyming text.
Volume 1 of the series, Dream of the Echoes: The Four Horsemen of Notre Dame! When Theo and Eddie J sing the Notre Dame Victory March, it causes them to travel back in time to 1924 where they witness Coach Rockne and the game that made the talented backfield of Jim Crowley, Elmer Layden, Harry Stuhldreher and Don Miller forever known as “The Four Horsemen”.
In Dream of the Echoes: Notre Dame Beats Miami!, Theo and Eddie J again magically travel back to 1988 and witness the epic battle between top ranked Miami and fourth ranked Notre Dame. While they meet special players like Tony Rice and Pat Terrell, Theo and Eddie J ultimately come to realize the real hero of the game is the Notre Dame Spirit as described by Coach Lou Holtz and a mysterious fairy named Elsie McFaley.
